Caribbean Association of Nutritionists and Dietitians

 

The Caribbean Association of Nutritionists and Dietitians is the professional Association for all Nutritionists and Dietitians in the English Speaking Caribbean. The Association promotes excellence in the practice of Nutrition & Dietetics thereby contributing to the improvement of the nutritional status and overall health of the peoples of the Caribbean Region

Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics

 

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (formerly the American Dietetic Association) was founded in 1917, and is the world's largest organization of food and nutrition professionals. The Academy is committed to improving the nation's health and advancing the profession of dietetics through research, education and advocacy.

Dietitians of Canada

 

Dietitians of Canada (DC) is the national professional association for dietitians, representing almost 6000 members at the local, provincial and national levels. DC is one of the largest organizations of dietetic professionals in the world.

The British Dietetics Association

 

The British Dietetic Association (BDA) is the only body in the UK representing the whole of the dietetic workforce. We are a trade union and professional body representing the professional, educational, public and workplace interests of our members. Founded in 1936, we are one of the oldest and most experienced dietetic organisations in the world.

Dietitians Association of Australia

 

The Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA) is the leader in nutriton for better food, better health and wellbeing for all. DAA is the peak body of dietetics and nutrition professionals in Australia, representing over 5,000 members.

The Ministry of Health, Trinidad and Tobago

 

The Ministry of Health is the national authority charged with oversight of the entire health system in Trinidad and Tobago. The Ministry plays a central role in the protection of the population’s health and in ensuring that all organisations and institutions that produce health goods and services conform to standards of safety.

Caribbean Public Health Agency, CARPHA

 

The Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) is the new single regional public health agency for the Caribbean. It was legally established in July 2011 by an Inter-Governmental Agreement signed by Caribbean Community Member States and began operation in January 2013. The Agency rationalises public health arrangements in the Region by combining the functions of five Caribbean Regional Health Institutes (RHIs) into a single agency.

The Faculty of Food and Agriculture (FFA) encompasses a number of disciplines with direct and indirect foci on food and nutrition security, human welfare and well-being and sustainable environment. It offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in a number of areas.
